01Why build it in Madrid

Architectural model makers in Madrid for international teams

Is your practice or development team based in London, Dublin, Amsterdam or the Middle East, with a project in Spain? Working with architectural model makers in Madrid means a fragile model doesn't have to cross a continent in a crate. You can fly in for a review, check the finish with your own eyes and find the model waiting, installed, in the site office, the marketing suite or the exhibition hall.

We also work with English-speaking architects and project managers based in Madrid who'd rather brief their model maker in their own language.

Our bespoke architectural models are built from your drawings or 3D files with laser cutting, CNC milling and 3D printing, then assembled and finished by hand. We make bespoke models for developers, industry, museums and exhibitions too. Model making has deep roots here: the Museum of the History of Madrid still displays the model of the city that León Gil de Palacio completed in 1830.

  • In-person reviews before the model is finished
  • Crating for the UK and Europe on request
  • Prices in euros, quoted excluding VAT

02Visits and collection

Our model making workshop in Madrid

Visits are by appointment, so your model, material samples and drawings are on the bench when you arrive and we can go through scale, finishes and lighting together. Prefer to take the model yourself? Collection is by appointment too.

We deliver and install across the city and the surrounding area. Further afield, every model travels in packaging built to fit, with a wooden crate for large pieces, and we can install it on site in other cities on request.

03Services in Madrid

What a local workshop gives you

Being nearby isn't only about saving on delivery. It means settling in one visit what would otherwise take a week of emails.

  • Workshop visits

See timber, acrylic and finish samples before you decide, or check the model halfway through the build. By appointment, in English or Spanish.

  • Collection from the workshop

Collecting it yourself is often quickest for competition models: we'll have it packed and ready on the agreed day.

  • Delivery and on-site installation

We take the model to your office, a marketing suite or show flat, a museum gallery or an exhibition hall, and leave it level, cased and, if it's lit, with the lighting tested.

  • Rush jobs

Competition deadline looming? A massing model can be ready in as little as 3–5 working days. Rush jobs are assessed case by case.

  • Working in English

Briefs, calls, quotes and reviews in English, with only an hour's time difference from London.

  • Shipping beyond Spain

Across Spain as standard. The UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe on request, with crating and transport itemised.

05Working with us from abroad

Commissioning a model from outside Spain

Hiring architectural model makers in Spain from London or Dublin is simpler than it sounds: we plan crating, transport and installation from the first quote, not the week the model is finished.

07FAQs

Questions from clients in Madrid and abroad

Yes, by appointment. Come and see material samples before you commit, check the model during the build, or collect it on the agreed day, packed and ready to travel. For large or fragile pieces we'd recommend letting us deliver and install it instead: it's safer than carrying a finished model across the city yourself.

Yes. You can brief us, send comments and approve drawings in English, and we quote in English too, in euros and excluding VAT. If Spanish-speaking site teams, exhibition organisers or museum staff need to be involved, we deal with them directly, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Yes. We deliver and install at IFEMA and other exhibition venues, as well as museums, offices and marketing suites across Madrid and the surrounding area. We agree access, unloading and set-up times with the venue or your stand builder, and leave the model in place and checked, lighting included, before the doors open. For stand projects, see our exhibition models.

Yes, on request and quoted per project. We ship across Spain as standard, and send models to the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe in packaging built around each piece, with wooden crates for large ones. The quote covers crating, transport and, if you need it, installation on site. Before we start, we confirm the full timeline, delivery included.

It depends on the model. A white massing or competition model can be ready in as little as 3–5 working days; a detailed presentation model needs 2–4 weeks, and large-format pieces for developers, museums or industry 4–10 weeks. For a Madrid venue there's no transit time to add, which often makes the difference on a competition or trade fair deadline.

Delivery and installation are itemised in your quote, priced on the size of the model and access to the venue; if you collect it from the workshop, there's nothing to add. As for the model itself, a massing or competition model starts from €450 and a presentation model is typically €1,500–€6,000 (excl. VAT). Our full price guide covers every type of model.
